ADIDAS X TOPSHOP

One of my absolute favourite projects I've worked on at Topshop has been designing the marketing campaign for Topshop's collaboration with Adidas last year.

So imagine my excitement when I heard months ago that there was a second collab in the works! After creating everything from the flyers and windows down to the swing tags, I can finally say that it will all come to life tomorrow when it launches worldwide in both Topshop and Adidas Originals stores.

Last week I was asked to take the seven pieces home and shoot some images, and to my absolute pleasure both brands are using the images on their social media channels and websites.

Soooo, if you see these on Instagram, please please tag me - @lsiss or let me know!

TOPSHOP UNIQUE

After two weeks deliberating and carefully crafting every graphic needed within the Tate Britain for Topshop's Unique AW15 show... Yesterday I finally got to see it all come together!

I won't go into all the last minute tweaks, technical hitches and model dramas (Kendall totally slipped as she walked in from the rain, shh!) Let's just say it was as interesting as ever, and I can't wait to catch a show or two tomorrow - Ashish is on my list!

My favourite parts of the whole day were watching the practice walk through (first picture), telling Julia Sarr-Jamois that she is my girl crush and brushing shoulders with Alexa Chung backstage.

Wearing my favourite coat - Monki, silk jumpsuit - Topshop and boots - Topshop

DEPOPPIN

I don't know what rock I have been under, but I only heard about Depop last week... It seemed like the perfect solution to two years worth of buying too much (certainly too much Topshop!) and an exciting way to start getting rid of the permanent six or so binliners of gorgeous unworn garments sitting in my hallway...

I spent this whole weekend photographing loads of amazing pieces, and will slowly be uploading them all. Please check out my Depop @laurensissons where I will be selling this amazing sweater along with a few (ahem, hundred) other things!

BAR

In terms of design, I absolutely love this set of earrings from Zara...

But the first pair I bought broke within a week, so I went back and bought a second set. After another week or so, that one broke too. Too angry to go back and even swap them - now all I have is this picture.

They went down in the sale, and now I know why!

PARACHUTE

Portobello Rd Market is one of my new favourite places in London. It was there that I met Parachute, the incredible 83-year-old Jamaican man that refused to let me take his photo... "The last time me have me photo taken it was for Italian Vogue... You ain't takin' no picturesss gyal".

I could have listened to him for hours, but had to meet my cousin. As I went to leave, he called my name... "Here", he said as he reached into his pocket. He put a thin gold chain into my hand, and closed his hand around mine. "Are you sure?" I asked. "Don't ask that, me just gave it to you, didn't I?!"

BLUE ODYSSEY

Everything I collect seems to end up colour coded. Including my online inspiration, which comes in washes of colours. My Tumblr is looking a bit blue at the moment - see it over here...

KING OF THE CASTLE

As the weather in London changes, so does my inspiration. This past weekend was a series of lazy afternoons in the garden while Nan planted her new flowers. The usual sirens going by were almost matched by the familiar tinkling tune of the ice-cream van and children yelling "I'm the King of the Castle" in the park behind my house.

And so I find myself saving images of breakfasts of berries covered in mountains of maple syrup, milk bottles filled with fresh flowers, black and white pictures sixties starlets in lace white dresses and tiny scalloped bikinis.

APPLE TREES

Having younger siblings has always meant there’s a few people around I can convince to hang out with me. Because family time is always best when it’s forced right?

Then eventually my brother out-cooled me and my sister out-witted me. That combined with their million extra-curricular activities meant they rarely had time to sit with me in the food court and make me look social. And if I ever wanted them to watch my playlist of endless Honey Boo Boo videos, I practically had to sit on them.

Then I moved to the other side of the world, and to say I miss them is an understatement (who will carry around countless disposable cameras, and oblige to my artistic selfies!?) Above are two of my favourite walks with my sister Aimee from a trip over here last year.

1. Aimee in Teeston Park.
2. Aimee and Sonny.
3. Daisy chains and crazy fairy-floss hair.
4. Teeston Park.
5. My organic accessories.
6. My shed in Nan’s garden.
7. Some fur and forest coloured trousers.
8. Making mates in the alleyway.
9. Took a turn down a winding path and it opened onto fields of apple trees.
10. Late lunch at the Cricketers Inn in Meopham. (Homemade steak burger – melted Somerset cheddar – grilled British streaky bacon – thin fries).
